This was a lovely little stop for comfort food on a Sunday afternoon. The chicken and rice soup soup and chili were both delightful surprises. The avocado & provolone chicken sandwich, king burger, and chicken crisp melt were all delicious.

I had an excellent breakfast here. Really enjoyed it. I was in Grinnell just the one day to visit Brownell's, and choose this restaurant because of the good reviews. I was not misled. Food was cooked well. Coffee was good. Service was cheerful. A great experience. #Recommended.

Approx 10 minute wait when we arrived on a Saturday morning. A good sign of a good spot for brunch (10am). Studied the menu while we waited and ordered within five minutes of being seated. Food came quickly and we all made it to the "clean plate club."

We visited for a Saturday brunch. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the chicken crisp melt and the country skillet. And the raspberry tea is delicious. The service was excellent.

We have been going to the Frontier since we moved to Iowa in 2015. It is a small town cafe with a home comfort feel. When we need some really good food that reminds us of being kids, we drive over an hour to eat here. There is plenty of seating and plenty of people eating, and the staff is always friendly. I love the signs in the bathroom and it shows that they enjoy a fun atmosphere. The chili is some of the best you will ever have and if it’s cold outside, getting the chili and a cheeseburger just can’t be beat! My wife loves their Special Club and soup of the day. Homemade pies and deserts always look good but we are usually too full to get any.

Great food & friendly waitstaff. Menu had choices for everyone. I ran out of room, but pie selection looked good. Even though I am not one, I liked that they had a specialty menu section for Veterans & Seniors. Would definitely recommend.

This is a Cafe that could use a makeover, but don't let that detour you from the grilled chicken salad! It was delicious. My granddaughter got the breaded chicken salad, she loved it an couldn't eat it all. Food was great an service is always fantastic. Deb Shearer

We went here for the first time last weekend, and wow! The food was amazing. There were four of us and we were all impressed. They were all working really hard as it was quite busy, but everyone was so friendly. It is large portion sizes and all of us had delicious food, ordering four different things. We are definitely going to make this our weekly outing and we live 20 miles away. The prices? Again, wow! Very reasonable. Cheaper than fast food. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.
